Week 4 self study
WHat?????/ How/???
The flag is invisible, some of the indents are invisible, the sphere appears hollow from all angles, the clock is missing, and the arrows are on an angle??????
Why???????????? (I'm not using this model again.)
Week 4 self study - the task was all about terrain making and mesh building. To this extent, I have made some terrain and some meshes, although not well since shut up.
The study required me to make a building and thus, I have made possibly the best building to date. Fit with a full mesh that hasn't deleted itself and colours! impressive, I know. It also asked us to create a maze like scene, of which I put a few houses around. However, if this doesn't satisfy the requirements, I did have a section in the larger terrain map for it, although it might be too large at this point.
couple of winding canyons should be good to do pathfinding / navigation in hopefully.
As for how I made each of these, I followed the tutorial. The first images models were made using probuilder, making a basic shape and then tweaking the points on it to add detail. I did in fact use the extrude tool when making the indent in the roof on the top of the houses, as did I use the bevel tool to make the angled part of the ledge on top. The roads and planes were just simple but poorly made rectangles, and the other models were imported from other packages (simple nature pack).
The terrain was made using terrain tools (I think?) It is a terrain object in the unity heirarchy, of which i used tools that are apart of the terrain component in order to shape and mold the plane into these canyon things you see here.
