Week 3 Tutorial


This Weeks tutorial involved importing the prior rigged model into unity (a fun time) and setting up an animation controller for it. Firstly, I exported the blender file as fbx because you can never just drag and drop the file into blender hoping for it to work. Second, make sure the walking and idle animations are set to loop (idle animation got messed up here but whatever)

After that, following the tutorial gave me these three animations


Yes, it's a bit scuffed. There's stuff with the exit time that should have been fixed, however I need to be going to next class so it will do. The animation is slightly slowed for the walking to look better, although he's still sliding a bit, that's more just that my animation skills are terrible. When space is pressed, he does a horrifying little wave, delayed thanks again to the exit time. And when moving, he enters a walking animation, or when W is pressed, which is also what controls the speed of the animator.
