Week 3 self study

This weeks task was to make a model of a person and rig and animate them. This sucked. Here is the human model I made in all it's glory, mostly by adding cuts to a base cube and extruding and scaling where needed. I did not think modelling a hand was necessary for this task. A mirror modifier was also used so that I only had to create half the model.

he's perfect

From here, I followed the quick tutorial linked in the self study found below to rig it:

here's what the rig looks like (forgot to take initial screenshot, this is from the walking animation). I started the rig with the spine, and make separate joints elsewhere for each limb, copy pasting parts into the right areas.

Anyways, using basic keyframing and moving the bones to pose the model, I've created three animations for the body, in GIF form here:

Aren't they great? No? Well too bad. Each of these doesn't have a whole lot of keyframes, and I am mostly relying on interpolation to do the work for me.

It also seems that after saving and closing blender, the idle animation has completely removed itself form existence and will need to be remade in the tutorial. Wonderous.
